Your visit, step by step
Emergency care follows a process. Knowing where you are in it makes the waiting easier.
Arrival
Check in at the front desk. Tell us right away if your symptoms change.
Triage
A nurse checks your vital signs and symptoms to determine how urgently you need care.
Evaluation
A physician or PA examines you and orders any tests you need.
Results
Labs and imaging take time to process. Waiting often means tests are working, not that you are forgotten.
Your plan
We explain what we found and what comes next, whether that is going home or staying with us.
